…Franz Lehar. Today called “Lehar Castle”, is the place where not only Franz Lehar lived and worked, but also Emanuel Schikaneder before him, and Richard Tauber after.


The later famous “Schrammel-Quartett” originated from Nussdorf. It was even named the “Nussdorfers” and was at this time a trio.
 
Ludvig von Beethoven lived in no less than 36 houses in Vienna. His favourite home was located on the Moelkerbastei in “Pasqualatihaus”, which today is still intact and harbours a Beethoven museum. (The house in which Beethoven lived is under private ownership, neighbouring to the museum.)
